6 Weeks till Christmas

OK, so half way there. Only 6 weeks to go now. One of my favourite things about making my own cards is having the kids join me and have some crafting fun together. This is a card my son put together on the weekend. I chose this to show you as some have been wondering how big the single star stamp is. This is a normal C6 sized card. I also love this greeting from the Holiday mini catty.

The envelope punch board!!! Which isn't just for envelopes but all sorts of boxes too! There are tutorials all over the web at the moment.

7 weeks till Christmas!!!

Time for a little Cutie!!

This was a fun card to make using the Owl Occasions set. You can easily substitute any of your Christmas stamp sets to create this card. Bit more time consuming using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, to make sure it all lined up, but worth the extra effort.

8 weeks till Christmas!!

Who always runs out of time???? When making your own cards, especially when you are making a lot like at this time of year, you need to cut corners, or limit resources.
So this week I've made a card that is only a couple of layers, but you could even create this on a plain card base with no layers at all.

The best part about this style of card is it is meant to be abstract or a collage, so exact placement of stamps etc is not necessary. Just stamp away!!! Oh and this is another new In Colour that I am loving, Pistachio Pudding.

Oh these weeks are flying. OK, this week I've used a colour combo I've fallen in love with. Our new In Colour, "Baked Brown Sugar" has a gorgeous gold look to it. Teamed up here with Riding Hood Red and Garden Green , it's a lovely classic look. I've also used the matching Ruffle Stretch Trim & the background was created using a stamp from Delicate Doilies.

10 weeks till Christmas!!

OK, let's go a little less traditional. Love the blue and silver combo for Christmas.
Below I've used the ever popular "Lovely as a tree", a MUST HAVE for your collection. Here I've teamed it up with some silver paper and embellishments to make Christmas trees.

 The blues I've used are one of our new In Colours, Coastal Cabana, and Island Indigo. The greeting has been stamped with silver ink using the Encore Pad (available again in our current Holiday catty). I was happy with these cards as they were relatively quick to make but are quite elegant.

11 weeks Till Christmas!!

I've started my Christmas collection this year with traditional colours and trying to use products within my "stash" or tools I don't use often.

So above I've used Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. The flower accent is made using a stamp from Delicate Doilies, punched out with the 2-3/8" scallop punch. You can easily adapt this card to the items in your own "stash". Change the colours, DS paper, greeting etc. See you next week.

New products!!!!!

Finally some craft time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had a lot of fun today at my craft desk.

 

OK, so many new products in our gorgeous new 13/14 Catalogue! The above cards use one of our new hostess sets, "Simply Sketched". It features 3 lovely line drawn images and 3 greetings making it a very versatile set.
Also used above:
Honeycomb embossing folder
Core'dinations cardstock (embossed and then sanded)
Six-sided Sampler stamp set
Candy dots.
I coloured the image using blender pens and markers and inked around the edges using markers as well.
