8 weeks till Christmas

Oh the time is flying by! Only 8 weeks to go already!  I had so much fun using the big shot last week and cutting out the "joy" and "noel" that it inspired me to keep using them.

These cards have been made using the DS papers from last year (Natural Composition) which already have those gorgeous embossed patterns. I chose the one with the sheet music pattern here. All I have done then is just sponge some colour randomly and stamped the star images over the top. I love these cards as they look quite involved but were very quick to make.

9 weeks till christmas!!

The Wondrous Wreath stamp set and matching framelits are a combination I've been wanting for a long time. The wreath is easy to build up with the photopolymer stamps in whatever colour combo you like, and there is also a bow & greetings included in the set. The matching framelits mean you can cut the wreath out perfectly (although I've chosen to just stamp it here), and they include both these gorgeous words to finish your projects off beautifully. Both are available in the holiday catty. NB these cards are 10.5cm square.

10 weeks till Christmas!!

One of my favourite new stamps this year is the Partridge & Pears set featuring this gorgeous pear tree. It's nice sometimes to just let one feature of  a card stand alone with few other embellishments. Here I have used it both with markers, adding the colour to the stamp before stamping, and by stamping and then adding the colour using chalks. Unfortunately my blender pen had almost run dry and this isn't the "best" colouring but I still love it.

11 weeks till Christmas!

Hi all! For this week I've started off my 2014 Christmas cards using some new toys! The Festival Of Trees stamps from our Holiday catty and the matching Tree Punch make it super quick to churn out a whole pile of cards.

I've kept these simple and "clean" with a simple scored border around the edge. The DS paper is from the Trim the tree Designer Series Paper Stack also in our holiday catty and you'll see many papers from this stack featured in my cards this year.

It's 12 weeks till Christmas!!!!!!

Yes, I'm sorry to say, but it is only 12 weeks till Christmas which means it's time for my annual countdown!

This week I decided to start "In Reverse". Normally it gets close to Christmas and there are all those last minute pressies and gifts for teachers, coaches etc and all those little thank you gifts that crop up.
